How to Prevent Anxiety Attacks

I want to share with you four tips to prevent anxiety attacks that I discovered from suffering from anxiety attacks for 30 years that have helped prevent my anxiety attacks to where they’re practically nonexistent or the duration of the panicattacks are very short.

(1) Eat a Balanced Meal. I know that this is sometimes hard to do because our world today is moving at such a fast pace every day, but to prevent anxiety attacks you need to make time to eat at least 3 to 6 meals every day. When I say meals, I don’t mean three to six Thanksgiving style dinners every day. A lot of times people get the term “meal” mixed up with a five course meal simply because most people are used to eating small unhealthy meals. So they can’t comprehend what a good small meal consists of. I’m not going to specifically recommend that you eat certain foods, because you may have a special diet, or special needs, or you may not like a certain food. However if you think on the opposite scale, that is, cut out all the fast food, you’ll be one step ahead. To prevent anxiety attacks stay away from foods that are high in refined sugars, such as highly processed foods that have little or no nutritional value whatsoever.
(2) I’ve found that drinks are actually just as critical as the food meals themselves to prevent anxiety attacks. What I mean by that is if you have anxiety attacks or panic disorder, you must stay away from caffeinated drinks such as coffee, tea, and dark sodas that contain caffeine. This also includes almost every energy drinks on the shelf out there. Those drinks can trigger an anxiety attack as they are stuffed full of enough stimulants that can practically be equated to taking methamphetamines. I highly recommend that you stop immediately if you’re drinking any kind of caffeinated beverage or energy drinks.
(3) Take a Multivitamin. Taking a multivitamin to prevent anxiety attacks goes hand-in-hand with eating nutritional high-value foods. If you’re serious about your health and you want to prevent your anxiety attacks then you should also incorporate into your diet a high potency multivitamin. Specifically you want to look for vitamins that are high in B-complex, niacin, and other vitamins and minerals that are known to relieve stress and anxiety. You can talk to people at your local vitamin store if you’re unsure of the ingredients you need in a high potency multivitamin that will prevent anxiety attacks.
(4) Get Plenty of Rest. This puts the mind and body in a state of relaxation not conducive to preventanxiety attacks or anxiety in general. You may think that you’re getting enough rest by sleeping 7 to 8 hours each night. The truth is that this is not enough sleep for you. You need at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep every night. But why is this? Even though you might feel relatively good after sleeping seven or eight hours, internally your body has not had enough time to revitalized itself. What happens is after a period of time of not getting enough sleep your body internally will start releasing stress hormones which can contribute to your anxiety attacks. So to prevent this you need to make sure you get at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep every night.
